Lunella Consulting
Social Impact Strategy and Evaluation Services
We approach our work as research activists and community builders, centering community and the most vulnerable so that our partnership, methods, practices, and deliverables elevate equity and restore justice.
About Us
Founded in 2021, Lunella Consulting is a Latinx, first-generation, female-founded business partnering with values-driven organizations to co-create a more equitable world. We are equitable program evaluators, strategists, facilitators, and community researchers, approaching each project with compassion, care, and authentic partnership. Our founder brings over 15 years of experience in the social impact and evaluation space—working across community-based organizations, philanthropic foundations, Fortune 100 tech companies, and private industry.
Why Lunella?
Lunella is a combination of two Spanish words: Luna (Moon) and Ella (She). Lunella blends the Spanish words Luna (moon) and Ella (she/her)—a nod to the feminine, the intuitive, and the often overlooked wisdom in traditional decision-making spaces. Like the Moon, we bring transformative energy that helps our clients navigate change. And like the many femmes left out of boardrooms and strategy sessions, Lunella centers those historically excluded, ensuring programs and systems reflect the people they serve.
Our Approach
We build healing, collaborative partnerships with BIPOC-led and social justice organizations. Together, we create and deliver equity-centered solutions that support and strengthen social justice movements . We build a team around your ask of trusted co-conspirators to align resources for your cause. Some of these partners include: graphic artists, teachers, scholars, business analysts, other strategists and researchers, subject matter experts with lived experience.

TESTIMONIALS
"Working with Natalie Orozco on our Theory of Change was such a grounding and energizing experience. She brought a decolonial and collaborative approach, holding space for our board and core volunteers through focus groups and Circles that really honored our values of community, healing, and liberation. She helped us get clear on our goals and how we contribute to meaningful change. The final document reflects all our voices and even includes a beautiful visual with the lotus from our logo. Natalie also brought her own Indigenous Circle wisdom into the process, which made everything feel purposeful and rooted. As a startup, we’re so grateful she made it all feel accessible, fun, and deeply aligned with our work."
- Dr. Anita Wadhwa, Restorative Houston
"It is not often you find someone who can weave together business, sustainability, personal and team development like Natalie, but she is an excellent holistic thinker who sees connections where most others don't. Natalie brings patience, dedication and work ethic to create inspiring learning experiences for others. She carries a large toolbox of skills to provide people with different methods and approaches that support whatever needs arise.”
— Cedric Zaugg, People + Culture, Bern-Switzerland
“I’d recommend Natalie to other Indigenous-led organizations, grassroots movements, and visionary changemakers who are looking for someone who gets it—not just the technical side of grants, but the soul work behind our movements. We decided to work with Natalie because we needed someone who could walk with us—not just as a consultant, but as a collaborator grounded in cultural integrity and visionary thinking.
Before teaming up with her, we had powerful ideas and community-led projects, but we were stretched thin trying to translate those visions into fundable language that honored both our traditions and funder expectations. Natalie helped bridge that gap beautifully. She helped us clarify our voice and lead with confidence. She brought clarity to our messaging, powerful insight into funder mindsets, and a calm, steady presence during high-stress timelines. She listens deeply and reflects back language that feels true to who we are. One of the most meaningful shifts during our work together was realizing that our stories are our strategy—and Natalie gave us the structure to tell them powerfully, without compromise. That was a turning point for me and for SGR.”

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS + PROMISES
We acknowledge the land we work from known as Sacramento, California is the traditional home of the Maidu, Miwok, and Nisenan people, who have been caretakers of the area since time immemorial. Despite centuries of genocide and occupation, they continue as vibrant and resilient federally recognized and unrecognized tribes, bands, and rancherias. Lunella Consulting commits to a Reciprocity-Promise of 5% of sales dedicated to the re-establishment a land-base for the Nisenan Tribe. We recognize movements of indigenous and ancestral rights to honor the earth wisdom carriers still advocating for land sovereignty on occupied territory.
We also acknowledge the need to address America’s sins, including the enslavement of Indigenous peoples from Africa. For these reasons we offer sliding scale services to social justice and BIPOC-led organizations seeking our services and partnership.
